Around 7pm on July 12th 2012 a text starting going around that there was a bulldozer at the Coop (an old building foundation behind a chicken coop that we poured cement on) and was set for destruction immediately. We scrambled to get all the angle iron, coping, parking blocks, benches, etc. into the back of trucks, vans, and cars. Anything we could re-use was coming with us. It was pouring out. Typical summer shower, but this last session was anything but typical. I Posted a bunch of photos from that last Coop session on AtlantaHatesUs.com and Scott put up some footage.
Huge bummer to see another very well known DIY foundation spot be reduced to rubble in a matter of hours after countless man hours of pouring concrete. Anyone in Richmond can sympathize with this, I’m just hyped these dudes got a last session in and were able to salvage what they could.
